Assistant(e) de Recherche I

Description

Nous recherchons un/e chercheur/euse expérimenté/e et très motivé/e qui aidera à soutenir et étendre le portefeuille de brevets de la société. Faisant partie du programme de découverte du médicament, le/la candidat/e supervisera, réalisera et conceptualisera des criblages dirigés de molécules candidates allant d’analyses in vitro jusqu’à la preuve de concept in vivo dans des modèles animaux hypercholestérolémiques. Le/La candidat/e devra avoir des connaissances approfondies en pharmacologie moléculaire et préclinique, biochimie/biologie moléculaire et cellulaire ainsi qu’un grande capacité à développer, planifier et à réaliser des tests biochimiques et cellulaires à l’aide de nos plateformes technologiques. Le/La candidat/e sera appelé/e à approfondir ses connaissances et à partager son savoir sous forme de publications scientifiques, participation à des congrès et rédaction de brevets.

Compétences requises

• Hautement qualifié/e dans l’application, la validation et le développement d’essais de criblage in vitro, cellulaire et in vivo pour l’identification, la caractérisation et l’optimisation de petites molécules thérapeutiques candidates.
• Expertises étendues en culture cellulaire, immunobuvardage, QPCR, ELISA, biologie moléculaire, manutention animal (gavage, prises de sang, DMPK/PD, DDIs, etc.) ainsi que dans le compilation et la rédaction de procédures d’utilisation normalisées (SOPs) et de rapports scientifiques.
• Connaissances en chimie médicinale (synthèse, purification et caractérisation par HPLC, RMN, LC-MS) ainsi que des aptitudes pour les logiciels SciFinder, Chemdraw, ou autres sont des atouts.

Éducation/Expérience

-Baccalauréat, Maîtrise ou Doctorat en Pharmacologie, Biologie Moléculaire et/ou cellulaire, ou autres disciplines scientifiques pertinentes.

-Minimum de (3) ans d’expérience en R&D (Biotech or Pharma un atout)

Research Scientist I

Description

We are seeking for experienced and highly motivated research scientist to help in the characterization and identification of lead drug candidates from in vitro towards in vivo proof-of-concept in hypercholesterolemic animal models using our different screening workflow platforms. The candidate should have extensive knowledge in designing, planning and executing key experiments and also having the capacity to develop new biochemistry-related, cell-based and in vivo experiments with a focus on lipid metabolism. The candidate will be part of the drug discovery program and will oversee screening assays to support and extend patent portfolio of the company.

The candidate will investigate the feasibility of applying a variety of scientific concepts to potential inventions and products. He/She will demonstrates high potential for technical proficiency, scientific creativity, collaborative spirit and independent thought. May coordinate interdepartmental activities and research efforts and will contribute to scientific literature, conferences and patents.

Specific Requirements

• Highly skilled in the application, validation and development of cell-based and in vitro screening assays for small molecule lead identification, characterization and optimization as well as proof-on-concept validation in animals.
• Expertise in cell culture, Western blot, QPCR, ELISA, Molecular Biology, animal handling (gavage, blood sampling, DMPK/PD, DDIs, etc.) and in compilation and writing of SOPs and scientific reports.
• Experience in multi-step chemical synthesis, purification and characterization using HPLC, NMR, MS instrumentation and knowledge of SciFinder, Chemdraw, and other chemistry-related softwares are assets.

Education/Experience

–B.Sc., M.Sc. or Ph.D. degree in Pharmacology, Molecular Biology, Cell Biology, or any pertinent scientific disciplines with minimum of (3) years professional R&D experience (Biotech or Pharma an asset)
