Assistant(e) de Recherche I

Description

Nous recherchons un/e chercheur/euse expérimenté/e, imaginatif/ive et très motivé/e pour approfondir la caractérisation de nos principaux médicaments hypolipidémiants. Le/La candidat/e devra avoir la capacité  d’élaborer, planifier et réaliser des expériences clés en biochimie, biologie moléculaire et cellulaire dans le domaine des lipides/lipoprotéines. En étroite collaboration avec la plateforme  de chimie médicinale et le programme de découverte de médicament,  le/la candidat/e jouera un rôle clé dans l’étude du mode d’action et des interactions des molécules candidates en s’appuyant sur des principes et concepts scientifiques documentés et innovants et ce, de manière indépendante et interdépartementale. Le/La candidat/e sera appelé/e à approfondir ses connaissances et à partager son savoir sous forme de publications scientifiques, participation à des congrès et rédaction de brevets.

Compétences requises

• Expérience dans la caractérisation de macro et petites molécules candidates en utilisant des essais in vitro, enzymatiques et cellulaires.
• Expertises étendues en culture cellulaire, enzymologie, immunobuvardage, QPCR, ELISA, RNAseq, études d’interaction protéine-protéine, protéine-ligand ainsi que production et purification de protéines recombinantes, la rédaction de procédures d’utilisation normalisées (SOPs) et rapports scientifiques.
• Expérience dans la quantification et analyses d’interactions biomoléculaires (affinité de liaison, études cinétiques et/ou thermodynamiques par by SPR, ITC, MST etc.), est un atout.

Éducation/Experience

-Maîtrise, doctorat, ou post-doctorat en Biologie Moléculaire et/ou cellulaire, pharmacologie, ou autres disciplines scientifiques pertinentes.

-Minimum de (5) ans d’expérience en R&D (biotech or Pharma un atout)

Research Scientist I

Description

We are seeking for experienced, imaginative and highly motivated research scientist to deepen the characterization of our lead lipid-lowering drug candidates.

The candidate should have extensive knowledge in designing, planning and executing key experiments and also having the capacity to develop new biochemistry and cell-based assays with a strong background in the field of lipid metabolism.

The candidate will investigate the feasibility of applying a variety of scientific concepts to potential inventions and products. He/She will demonstrates potential for technical proficiency, scientific creativity, collaboration with others and independent thought. May coordinate interdepartmental activities and research efforts and will contribute to scientific literature and conferences.

Specific Requirements

• Strong experience in characterization of biologics or small molecule lead drug candidate using cell-based, enzymatic and in vitro
• Extensive expertise in cell culture, protein-protein interactions, protein production and purification, enzymology, Western blot, QPCR, ELISA, RNA seq, Molecular Biology, and in compilation and writing of scientific reports.
• Experience with quantification of biomolecular interactions (binding affinity, kinetics and/or thermodynamics) by SPR, ITC, MST etc., is an asset.

Education/Experience

–M.Sc. or Ph.D. degree in Molecular Biology, Cell Biology, Pharmacology or any pertinent scientific disciplines.

-Minimum of (5) years professional R&D experience (biotech or Pharma an asset)
